Ready for Adoption

Hi everyone,

We've been quietly breeding away here at Class Act Gerbils, and we're very proud of the colour combinations we now have available for adoption!

We have both male and female Burmese gerbils.

Aren't they gorgeous?

We have five males and one female available in this colour.

We also have a selection of argente and agouti gerbils. Our argentes are both spotted and non-spotted. Pictured below is our non-spotted argente female pup.

These guys are so much fun!

We have one argente female and two argente (spotted) males.

Everyone loves the "traditional" agouti colouring, and we're no different here!

You can see from the pictures, we have agoutis in a wide range of spottedness, all the way from non-spotted through to pied (see the one in the photo with the argente female).

We currently have four male agoutis and four female agoutis available for adoption.

Most of our gerbils have reached the perfect adoption age of 8-10 weeks. At this point they're very socialized and their personalities are set. We do have a few "older" gerbils (by older we mean 3-5 months old, so really, just hitting full-grown) available as part of this grouping. We know most people love getting the little pups, but we believe these "young adults" also make excellent pets!

Our gerbils are hand-tamed and well-cared for. We love them, and we make sure they're both adult and child friendly. If you're looking for the perfect small pet for you or a loved one, look no further - Class Act Gerbils are gorgeous, healthy, and ready to find their forever homes!

If you're interested in adopting any of these gerbils (or would like to be placed on a waiting list for pups), please use the contact form on the blog, or email us at classactgerbils@gmail.com

Cheers!

New Males!

Our breedery is excited to welcome two new males to our ranks! These boys are between nine and twelve weeks old, and will likely be paired with a Burmese and argente cream female to allow us to expand our colourpoint work as well as delve into spotted/pieds.

He's either a spotted DEH (dark-eyed honey) or a spotted nutmeg - we won't know until after his next moult.

Look at his huge eyes - they're so bright and inquisitive!

Here's our pied agouti - you can't see it, but he has the most spectacular white bristles at the tip of his tail!

You can see the clear demarcation line between the white of his belly and the traditional agouti colouring on his back.
We're very excited to see what sort of colour combinations we'll get from pairing these with our breedery females!

Burmese Ready for Adoption

Our litter of Burmese pups are now five weeks old and officially ready to go to their forever homes!

As you can see, the dark colourpoint colouration is just starting to come in on the bridge of their noses. As they mature, their paws (especially the rear ones) and ears will also darken until their colouring matches that of Burmese cats.

Please check our adoptions page to see what's still available from this litter.

Burmese Pups Looking Good!

At just over three weeks, all seven pups are running and scampering everywhere! They've started eating solid foods - mostly oats and rice crispies - and are learning to drink from the bottle.

Our litter of argente/lilac pups are all female, so we'll be keeping two of the four male Burmese pups for our next generation of breeders. Although, there's a possibility we will breed from the second litter instead, depending on how things go.

Please contact us if you are interested in adopting from this (or future) litters.

Adorable Pups

Here are the babies at ten days old. They're getting their first coat of fur, and it's now possible to sex them. We have three girls and four boys!

It looks as though most, if not all, of the pups will have either white or light coloured front paws. I'm disappointed by this as I'd really like to deepen the colourpoint in the line, but as long as they're healthy and have an excellent temperament we'll be happy - even if they're not show quality.

Right now they're at that adorable stage where they crawl into your hand, all stumbly-wumbly, and then as soon as they realize it's warm, they roll onto their sides and fall asleep. It's hilarious to watch them sink into the bliss of a toasty warm palm!

My guess is we'll see them starting to explore the tank sometime this weekend...

Growing Pups!

The seven Burmese pups are growing like weeds!

When they first arrived the general consensus was they looked like tiny radishes. Now, at only four days old, they're nearly triple the size and looking adorable!

More than half of this litter is already spoken for, but if you're interested in adopting sometime in mid- to late-January, drop us a line and we'll add you to our waiting list.

New Arrivals

Class Act's first litter of AGS registered gerbils arrived on December 6th, 2014.

Our Burmese pair (Coco and Caramel) produced seven healthy pups and are doing a wonderful job of taking care of them. More than half of the litter is already spoken for, but if you're interested in adopting one or more of our gorgeous pups leave a comment below and we'll add you to our waiting list.
